Your beautiful Brier Island holiday home is a ground floor apartment with living/dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. It has its own private entrance. The sofa can be converted into a double bed for additional sleeping (6 adults maximum). We now have satellite TV with over 120 channels and are happy to offer complimentary WiFi to our guests. No dishwasher. Outside your door are two patios, one with a barbeque and both overlooking the water which is grand passage, a mere 9 metres away. Your living room window also looks out on the 'passage' and the fishing harbour of Westport, with its commercial fishing boats. When you walk out your door, if you turn right, you can amble up to the centre of the village where there is an amazing general store, a commercial lobster and scallop pound, a restaurant and the whale watching offices. If you turn left, you can wander down the road to one of two brier island lighthouses and the Canadian coast guard station. There is a third lighthouse on Peter Island, visible from the apartment. If you continue hiking past the station, you will discover one of the grey seal colonies that dot the coast. Ideal for whale watching and bird watching.
Please note that pets are welcome; an additional $75 pet cleaning fee per pet per stay will be payable upon arrival. There is an additional charge for parties over 4: $75/ additional person. And last, the Municipality of Digby requires hosts to collect a levy as explained in the letter in the photo gallery. This levy can be paid in cash or e-transfer upon arrival.
